Here are two books I have found very interesting:

Understanding the Old Testament by Bernhard W. Anderson, copyright 1957
and 1966.  (Anderson was a professor of Biblical Theology at the
Theological School, Drew University.)

Are You The Chjrist? The Trial Narrative in the Gospel of Mark.   by
John R. Donahue, S. J.   Copyright 1973 Society of Biblical Literature.
