It depends... according to K-EYE TV, the Austin CBS affiliate which currently 
holds the rights to both the original and TNG, they choose to continue to 
're-roll' the TNG episodes week after week, month after month, year after 
year, because the original series don't bring in the ratings anymore.
(At least that's what I gather.)
