subject: coax info

-> I need info on the following types of coax.
-> RG58/U
-> RG213
-> RG8/U
-> RG62A/U
->
-> I need to know Line Loss and any other info you got. Tnks.
 Losses at 400 MHZ per 100 Foot length
  RG-58                 12dB
  RG-213                4.2 dB
  RG-8                  6.5 dB
  RG62                  5.5 dB
  As you can see the 213 is the only one ot concider from that group.
But youu left out the Belden 9913 which has a loss of 2.6 db.
Which is Better than anything except "Hardline"
 In case you are interested the Hardline has losses as follows typicaly.
           Hardline is listed by cable diameter.
  .440 inch           2.16 dB  @ 400 Mhz
  .500 inch           1.5 dB  @ 400 Mhz
  .875 inch           0.75 dB @ 400 Mhz
 This stuff though lies outside the Affordability Curve of Most. :-)
 The about values are approx and do vary from chart to chart. But the
Relationships are correct from cable to cable.
