Neither.  And it's funny that the guy spouting off about "knowing
the Spirit" hasn't even an inkling of what the Spirit says.
Instead, your only concepts of salvation are both legalistic:
Either man saves himself by holding sound doctrine or man
saves himself by knowing the Spirit.

Scripture, which the Spirit gaves us, says the opposite of
both:  Jesus saves us while we are powerless to know Him,
His Word, or the Spirit.
