A kind of. Andriyan Nikolaev was born in country-side, village of Shorshely,
here in Chuvashia, about 70 kilometers to east from Cheboxary. He became famous
after he flew in space as the 3rd Soviet cosmonaut. A street here in Cheboxary
has his name since mid-60's. There is Museum of Cosmonautics in his village of
Shorshely. Many of exhibition pieces were gifted by Nikolaev - his outer-space
suit, some tols and devices which were with him in his space flights, etc.

Last years he visited Cheboxary every year and spent part of his vacations in
his appartments here. This July an Annual Russian Rural Sport Games were held
here in Chuvashia, near Cheboxary. Famous Soviet (and NHL :) ) ice-hockey
player V.Fetisov was here as guest and as Head of Russian Sport Department (not
exact term, a governmetal body to supervise sports). A.Nikolaev was invited as
The Head Referee for the Games. The Games started Jul,4th, and Nikolaev died on
Jul,5th from [second or third in his life] heart attack.
