Many Christians are not sure of their salvation. They read scripture
and see that they have not achieved many of the Christian goals that
they find in scripture. Though for years they have believed that they
were a Christian, they no longer trust that Jesus has saved them. They
begin to doubt that they ever had been accepted by Jesus. They feel
that their salvation was a mirage, therefore they begin to try to
become saved again. They are so afraid God is going to send them to
hell, their attention becomes so focused on avoiding hell, they no
longer have time to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk
humbly with their God?

They have help. They have those "of the dark side" who go out of
their way to make Christians doubt their salvation. The dark-siders
want the Christians to be unsure of their salvation. The dark-siders
may tell the Christian, "Look, here is were you fall short. This
means that Jesus has not saved you. You just thought you were a
Christian, but it was only an illusion. Follow me, I will show you
how to become a real Christian." But, most of the time the
dark-siders will not come out and say that, they are very sneaky and
rather than speak plain, they will only hint. They will do anything
to make the Christian question his salvation and doubt that Jesus will
take care of him.
