Yea, I also am not sure how the author of Rev. would have defined
"liar".

I wonder if it was the same definition as the author of Titus had in
mind when he wrote: "One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said,
"Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons"." (Titus 1:12)
