On this and other networks, I've been hit with a whole bunch of reasons
why I should vote for Dole:
1. He served in WWII while Clinton dodged Viet Nam.
2. He doesn't cheat on his wife.
3. His Supreme Court nominations won't be as bad.
4. He won't support as much gun control.
5. He won't violate the First Amendment as often.
6. He isn't as pro-abortion.
Now one and two do show some positive reasons (although at 73 years old,
I'm not sure #2 counts), but all the rest add up to "He's not as big a
schmuck as Clinton."
All of the political professionals I know are agreed that Dole is going
down hard. Therefore, any vote for Dole is a wasted vote - it would be
better to vote for a long shot like Harry Browne (who *would* be an
improvement) rather than throwing your vote away on a loser.
