I know that this seems kinda crazy, but we had a white spot problem in our 
tank that would not respond to the Ick treatments. Starting killing all of my 
fish. We tried everything. Finally something very simple seemed to work. A 
tablespoon of salt. Aquarium salt. I promise you, it worked when nothing else 
would. I don't know why and I don't know how, but it did. It took getting 
advise from about 20 different places and trying numerous other stuff, but 
finally something worked.
