hi, i'm once again trolling for opinions or information based on
experience with the new crop of modems offered for sale.
have heard many opinions that the new unproven 56k technology
is more a marketing ploy than something really practical at this
time. yet, i'm still contemplating purchasing a new modem at the beginning
of May. what i'm looking at both motorola voice surfer and hayes modems.
i'm willing to take a chance kflex will prevail in the long run, x2's
rush to market doesn't particulairly excite me. the price of both motorola
and hayes entries seems reasonable even if kflex doesn't materialize, at
least i'll be up to 33.6 from 14.4. anyone care to offer their opinions,
especially those with experience with the above manufacturers or
experience in the computer communications industry. thanx.
