-=> Quoting Paul Edwards to All <=-
Hello Paul,
PE> A friend of mine (Jack) is having trouble with his telephone, here is
PE> his description of the problem:
PE> I have a Telecom Commander E Series TS-E308-S telephone at home. Why
PE> can't I use it as a normal phone? Because when I plug it in, there is
PE> no tone or anything. I bought the phone from a company auction. They
PE> were used as extensions in the company. The handset and
PE> telphonewall cable work if used with a normal telephone, it's just
PE> the main telephone that doesn't work.
As far as I know, you can replace an existing commander extension with a
normal phone, but you lose the pretty lights and stuff.
The commander gets power as well as the signal line. I don't know if you
can "fool" the commander into thinking it is on a pabx line.
They use four core cable BTW, not two as in the more normal phones.
