Matt Frewer was that guy in Next Generation who stole an Alien Time Machine 
and tried to bring objects from the future to the past in hopes of selling 
them as his own designs.  He tried to capture Data, but he was in turn left 
stranded in the future when his time machine left without him.
I still like Data's line in that Episode. "I gather this door will open 
weither your concuous or not" - or something like that.  - Matt Frewer is now 
on 'Psi-Factor'.
