     G'day Peter
what seems to have happened is that you have changed your NORMAL.DOT so
open Word, in file select open, at the bottom of the dialogue box "List
files of type" select "Document Templates (*.dot) from your winword
directory list select "Templates", look through your file list and find
"NORMAL.DOT" select and open this file, there's that bloody dog again,
select picture and delete, go file, save, and close Word. Now all being
well when you open again it should be "dog gone"
Let me know how it goes as I am only a learner.
	Regards
	Wayne
