BA>Paws, a program for the apple II's, is a real good one too. It only has
BA>the recordkeeping if you print out each student's scores each time they
BA>use the program (so I don't use that part) But the graphic fingering,
BA>levels of practice , and keyboard games are all great. I didn't care
BA>much for the Mavis Beacon, or the ALL the Right Type, programs because
BA>they were't as good. I'm going to check out Mario. I've heard from
BA>several students and parents that it was good. I'm interested in Typing
BA>Tutor 6, do you know what kind of machine it runs on?
I've seen Paws, though I've never really used it.
Typing Tutor 6 is software for the PC, it features a little screen which
illustrates fingering, several proficiency levels for practice and a
couple of keyboard games. Just this summer I have seen software in the
mall computer stores called Typing Tutor 7. This new software comes on
CD ROM and is published by a different company - I don't know if it is
any better or any worse than version 6.
