Thanks, I downloaded and installed it.
But with some testing I found out that the :ext-login was never used
before, the environment variable wasn't used, but instead the :pserver
method that was saved in each sub directory as cvs\root file.

Now with the ext-login method I can't get anything to work.

With the command line:
---
set CVS_RSH=ssh
set CVSROOT=:ext:it-dienste{at}cvs.husky.sourgeforge.net:/cvsroot/husky
set HOMEDRIVE=c:
set HOMEPATH=\utility\husky\cvs
set HOME=\utility\husky\cvs
c:\utility\husky\cvs>cvs checkout -P hpt
Bad host name: cvs.husky.sourgeforge.net
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)
---
Same with cvs.sourceforge.net instead of cvs.husky.sourceforge.net.

And with TortoiseCVS:
---
In C:\utility\husky\cvs: cvs -q checkout -P hpt
CVSROOT=:ext:it-dienste{at}cvs.sourgeforge.net:/cvsroot/husky

cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response `Unable to open connection:
' from cvs server
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

Error, CVS operation failed
---

But as written in
http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=766&group_id=1#sshtest
the test works as described:
plink.exe it-dienste{at}shell.sourceforge.net echo "SSH public key is in
place."
("SSH public key is in place.")
and:
plink.exe it-dienste{at}cvs.sourceforge.net echo "SSH public key is in place."
("This is a restricted Shell Account".)

pageant (putty tool for giving private key when neccessary) is active.

See ya,
*Micha*
