I prefer professionalism to belief that it doesn't matter.

(Side Note: This is also an argument for rotation from field to field. ER
is stressful. So is ICU. So is psychiatric nursing (which my mom practiced
and taught.) Rotating between different kinds of stress can help prevent a
"mental repetitive stress syndrome".... [It also
improves overall knowledge by cross-fertilization between specialties....])
