Personal experience from a few dozen youngsters during my Melita Island days
for whom it was the only way to be gainfully employed. The comparisson to your
dad's service is completely crooked.
 
As it is, the grand story about protecting the safety of the USA is a grand
hoax as well. The United States continues to need wars somewhere in order to
justify an out-of-proportion military and to satisfy the requirements of the
military industrial complex.
 
If a majority of those unproductive military people would get jobs instead the
economy of the USA would be competely different ...
 
Or make certain that going to college becomes affordable without requiring 20yr
loans, would also see a significant drop in enlistments because students
wouldn't need military benefits anymore to get an education.
 
I cannot understand how an entire population can be made to believe that the
US's military interventions in Afghanistan and Iraq were about the safety of
the USA ... Surely, Janis, you are too intelligent to believe that as well.
