I have silly objections, and real ones....

Silly: Having to move 4^6 pixels just to hide my icons seems an offense
against both God and Man.  Heat your room, just to redraw 2k of text on a
page?

Possibly real: I want to see the fanless video card that can do it well.
Does this *really* look better for text than a 512k VGA putting UltraVision
text on a character-mode screen? Do I want to depend on the GPU to do my
scaling?  Do I want everything I watch passing through a copy-protected
pipe?

And I say again, "Consumer electronics are the last opiate of the
disappearing middle classes."  We are doomed, and Wal-Mart will be our
abbatoir.
