I cut my teeth on early bureau IBM machines (plug-board accounting machines through to 360's) and Fortran before getting into Casio programmables, PETs, TRS80's and then the Big Board. None of that survives here now. In `82 I converted a newspaper distribution department from Address-o-graphs to Mitac XT's, and still have the home one that I drove the others with. The family then started on a set of Intels, some of which linger... I still hanker after the Casio Pro101 - it had 256 steps and its memory registers, requiring really streamlined proggies that often had to crash in order to extract useful outcomes...* Origin: === Maxie BBS.
