Actually, I wrote just after he did but before you answered him.

In any case, I checked the echolisting for this echo and found that we
don't have a "real names" clause.  That may be a hangover from
the days that this echo originated in Alaska as some Alaskans get phobic
about disclosing who they are.

However, I've been moderating the echo for years and as far as I can
remember, participants have always used their real names.  But then there
are not a lot of Alaskans left.:-)
