> GD> Don't like it, don't live here. Simple
MM> Yes, that's exactly what should have been said to our Founding Fathers when
>they decided they didn't like what the British Crown was doing.
Well actually the FF's told the Crown to "Eff Off", we don't like your
crap and we're leaving.
> GD> Illegal Immigration costs the American Taxpayer more then 250 Billion,
> GD> the wall is about 5 Billion. There is no longer a debate.
MM> Hey, look, a number pulled directly from the Fake News Media.
CNN published that?
MM> Fun fact: It doesn't cost that much. The most accurate calculation was that
>illegal immigrants cost around 45 billion a year.
Okay.... so tell me how spending 5B doesn't make *PERFECT* *SENSE*, to
stop the flow of illegal immigrants. We save 40B. Duh.
MM>Here's the thing about a wall: It didn't even work very well for the Chinese
>and that was before flying was a thing. We can spend $5 billion on a wall.
>boats are cheap. rafts are free. airfare is inexpensive. ladders are also
>cheap. so are shovels.
The wall would be combined with other measures too. Electronic and
human surveillance for starters. Another thing that is cheap is AMMO.
> GD> Being gay or straight is a choice and does not have a thing to do with
> GD> religion, to state otherwise is more then foolish.
MM>Tell me, did you wake up one morning and decide to be straight? no? You
>just happen to find the opposite sex appealing?
>It's the same for those who are LBGT. They don't chose to be the way they
>are.
That might be true for all but the "T" bunch. Pretty obviously a
"choice" to go forward with that path.
MM> Graduates from RPI average $82,000 a year after 10 years of work and start
>about $67,000 . if they have a student loan of $200,000, they will be paying
>$2126 a month for 10 years at current interest rates. Not to mention they'll
>need to take out private loans to pay for that, since federal loans won't co
>it.
MM>That's $25,512 in loan payments per year. Bringing their pay averages down t
>$41,488 and $56,488 after 10 years. But they're still getting taxed on the
>higher income bracket.
MM>I'm not saying it's not worth it. I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, I am
>saying there has got to be a better way than to saddle our kids with crushin
>debt.
I'd have to agree that the costs of tuition seem higher than they should
be. Not sure what the solution to that is though.
