We didn't just look at them, they were on the first midterm test.

I've been thinking since the first class that this is more than just a
basic C++ class but I figured that was just because I'd been out of school
for 25 years... 

The class meets once a week for 3 hours  for 16 weeks, 2 of those are test
classes (midterm and final) so 14 classes and she intends to cover the
whole book. So far we are on chapter 9 of 15 so I'd say it's completely
possible. Personally I like it because I don't learn languages in detail
(I'm not a programmer) but instead I like to get an overview so I can read
code then I learn more of the details as needed (I learn to read code
before I learn to write it). But man.. she expects us to spend a lot of
time reading on our own.
