* EleBBS Support List Yeah, I'm using eleserv -telnet -news -ident. Autodetect is off. I'm not running any security software on the new box, but was running the windows firewall on the last box. I am behind an NAT and forwarding ports, but I don't think that's it as the connection immediately starts; it's just that ele doesn't do anything for a while. Any other ideas? -----Original Message----- From: Mike Ehlert [mailto:mike{at}pcmicro.com] Sent: Thursday, May 11, 2006 11:25 AM To: elebbs{at}thebbs.org Subject: Re: EleBBS: delay... * EleBBS Support List > Well, now it might be the slow machine (I'm running 2k on a 500mhz celeron > with elebbs win32), but even before I moved it over, ele would take about > 20 > seconds before the first prompt would appear. Try turning off the auto ANSI detection in EleBBS to see if thats the issue. It should take less then a second for the logo.ans to appear. Are you running any security software that could be interfering?
