    I tend to agree with you.  Certainly we shouldn't be wasteful of any 
resource. Your TIME is a resource, too.  Given that the cost of disk space 
has never been lower and the cost of RAM is *finally* beginning to come 
downwards, is it really a worthwhile effort to spend significant time and 
work in trying to make a smaller .exe file?  (Now, if it is just as 
functional and noticeably faster execution, it may well be worth it.)
    I was astonished to see my first "Hello, World" Delphi .Exe file at about 
300K in size.  But it was REAL EASY to make it work!
