I'm not sure about this one....when you create the a field in a table,
you can set it as an index and in the "Duplicates Allowed" property
field, check "No".....Access will then refuse to allow you to enter a
duplicate record. As far as giving you an option to go ahead and enter
it, I'll have to do some research on that. I'll try to get back with
