RJT>RJT>JB>extra components would be needed to get a rate signal from a 2 RJT>RJT>JB>wire fan. RJT>RJT>JB>it's easist to tap the monitioring terminsl on the fan PCB. (typically RJT>RJT>JB>right next to the power terminals) RJT>RJT>JE> HUH? None of the fans in my computers have EVER had a fan PCB. Am I RJT>RJT>JE> not understanding? RJT>RJT>Ever take one apart? :-) RJT>RJT>There's likely much more than just a simple dc motor in there. RJT>JE> That "likely" indicates that you "THINK" but do not "KNOW" for sure RJT>JE> that there MAY be more than a simple DC motor in there. Roy, I normally do not take things apart for salvaging parts. I usually tear thing apart just to learn what IS inside and to try to learn how they work. Just never gave these fans any thought. TO ALL: If there is enough interest, I'll take digital pictures of the disassembled fan and send it to all via an email attachment. Let me know. -----------------------snip----------------- Jay --- þ OLXWin 1.00b þ Just when I think I understand, everything changes!* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/1 379/1 633/267 |
