Tom C.:
While AAA board meetings are open to members, the board retains the
option--under the btlaws--to go into exeutive session on sensitive
matters. This happens very rarely, so almost all the time, meetings
are open.

Eyepiece or the website publishes the minutes of the meetings and a
current correct contact list of Board members?

Hey guys, how do I unsubscribe from this list and then quit from the
organization. Just want to end this silliness from my In box. Thanks.
Reply off list if you wish. I just want to quit and go join a real
astronomy group. Thanks and goodbye.

Claudio, one extremelly simple way to end the silliness from your
inbox would be to register with Yahoo and read the group's postings
from the website. You needn't give them any factual personal
information about yourself, if that's what has been keeping you from
doing so all this time. They don't check, or care. As long as you
view their ads, they're happy. Once you register with Yahoo, you can
choose the "no e-mail" option from "edit membership",
located near
the top of the groups's webpage, and you won't get any of the group's
messages to your personal e-mail box. You will be able to pick and
choose which messages you want to read from a message board.
But if your heart's set on leaving, the instructions for
unsubscribing should be located at the bottom of every message sent
to you from the group.
Another thing, we each have the ability to make this a solid
astronomy site for our local area, but many here don't seem to care
to make much of an effort.(not you, you've contributed greatly over
the years). Others, we only hear from when they have a complaint
about something(you know who i mean), yet they themselves rarely, if
ever, post anything positive relating to the goals of this group. If
more members simply started posting interesting astronomy related
matter more often, and occasionally responded to replies from other
members, as you would like to believe most would know to do
automatically based on the "law" of common courtesy, I know this
group would become what it was intended to be when Charlie Ridgway
founded it some years ago. In short, Claudio, I do hope you
reconsider.

Agreed Claudio; I love the astronmy related material but I can't deal
with this anymore. I am embarassed by the personal issues vetted so
publically and in such a child-like way. You've posted some
excellent material to this group and I have to agree with your
sentiments; I'll be following you out.

Never even knew you were out there, Dennis. Why haven't you ever
contributed or asked questions?

When the dialog is brought to the free and open platform, people
catch on pretty quickly. It is the secrecy, suppression, intimidation,
reprisal that allows AAA Inc's policy of hostility and abuse.

Tom Clabough regrets that NYSkies isn't more of an active astronomy
site. This from the guy who posts weather and Intelligent Design
material, not to mention stuff on AMNH security and his animus
