Well, that's a relief and I'm really really pleased for you.

I'm assuming that the .tic files were deleted?

Same as it always goes, it didn't work :(

TIC processing has been broken in the Linux version for a very long time.  
I don't know exactly when it broke or the circumstances under which it  
broke but it's a completely different scenario to the one which you've  
experienced. One day, I might just get around to trying to figure it out  
but AFAIC personally, it's of low priority.
