Yup, but with my Nikon CP5000 it disappeared after a firmware upgrade (1.7).
With Continuous Focus on and Quick Response on, there is no noticeable lag.
Nice camera for shooting action now. To the best of my knowledge, lag is
non-existent on dSLRs as well.

Of course, there is some lag in all cameras - film or digital - but in most
cases it is too short to notice.
