If you are sending the fish to Australia you will need to use a private
courier service and not the post office as it is against Australia Post
regulations to ship live fish (and Aust Post do not guarantee safe handling -
I was told that they handle them very roughly)

You will also need to check the Customs and Quarantine regulations of the
receiving country. If the fish are being sent to Australia then the person
receiving the fish must gain permission from the Minister for Primary
Industry and Fisheries and also gain a clearance from the Australian
Quarantine and Inspection Service otherwise they be in serious legal trouble.
