Are you referring to the book.bin and books.bin files?  These can be 
created using Crafty.  Goto ftp://ftp.cis.uab.edu/pub/hyatt and  
download the file crafty.doc.  This will give you all the information 
you need to build the book files. 
 
Crafty can be run through the graphics interfaces XBoard (Unix/Linux) 
and WinBoard (Win95).  Unfortunately there are no interfaces for 
DOS or Win3.1.
