Yes, that's what I meant (and should have said). EH> The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (popularly called the Mormon EH> Church) is not a collection of groups within a religion. We are *Christians* EH> first and are referred to as Mormon because of the name of only one part of the EH> scriptures we have. We also have the King James Bible and other scriptures. I'll take your word for it. I picked up on the idea of sects within LDS from Wikipedia, which as we all know has to be the gospel truth. I mean if it's printed there you can *trust* it, you know? This phrase in particular jumped out at me: "Baptism for the dead is also practiced by several other current groups in the Latter Day Saint movement." Which was the first time I'd ever heard that the LDS might be composed of more than one group. --- þ MM 1.1 #0366 þ* Origin: TECHWARE BBS - Since 1995 - www.techware.dynip.com (1:102/401) SEEN-BY: 10/1 11/200 331 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2222/700 2320/100 5030/1256 @PATH: 102/401 943 10/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
