Quite which iis the point & is why I said:

"I wonder if Mac will use the Linux NTFS stuff so it can read &
write NTFS partitions.

That would skew things coz MS won't put foreign fs abilities into XP/Vista."

i.e. you might periodically boot into XP to get some app working but then
if OSX included the Linux NTFS stuff then you could read your XP data from
within OSX.
