Do stop whining Rich. I'm not sure why you are so upset with MS that you
need to witter on like this.

Mac users are well served with HFS+ but that wasn't the point was it oh
challenged one.

The point was that a Mac User running on an HFS+ loaded OSX might also have
a 2nd rate OS installed which uses NTFS as it's std FS & that person
may well be even better served by being able to pull files out of NTFS
& use them in OSX.

Out of the box. i.e. with the relevant functionality being included in the
"installation media" i.e. without having to search the web &
then going to obscure site to download some 3'rd party software which isn't
supported by the company which produces the "OS".

Apple might do that because apple believe in a quality user experience
where the whole is integrated, rather than relying on unsupported 3'rd
party applications to provide OS level functionality.

Maybe MS should try that at some point, but (A) I'm not holding my breath
& (B) It's not like I care wether they do or not as this was a debate
about OSX & not a 2'nd rate OS which uses NTFS as it's std FS.
