I couldn't agree more, Chris. Directly advertising in these echos is
a lot like knocking on your neighbors door and saying "Hi, I am Joe
with Amway, and I want to talk to you...". If you were that neighbor,
what would you think of Joe? On the other hand, if Joe had simply lived
his success in plain view you might take some interest in what he does.
By living your success I mean that you think, act, and behave like the
person you want to be and treat others like you want to be treated.
In doing this you involve yourself in positive discussion, reinforce
other people, involve yourself personally in community activities, etc.
When others ask you about your day you say things like "I had a great
day in my office today! Things are really picking up!" and other
expressions that state your satisfaction with what you do. When you
do this, people can't help but take interest in it, especially those
whose careers are in a rut.
Posting in this and other echos should be the same way. If we would
simply involve one another in helpful discussion, reinforce others, and
always express our satisfaction with life and business, someone is bound
to take interest in our ventures and ask questions. Then it's on to
netmail, but that's another topic. In summary, the best way to promote
our business on these echos, and in life, is to let others see what you
do and say and let them approach you about your business. Thank you
very much for your valuable time.
