Actually, Caruso made quite a few; the problem is that almost every
single one of them has been issued and reissued since his death.
Originals in absolute mint condition could bring a premium from a
Caruso/opera collector, but quite frankly most of those whose interest
is in the music have long since gotten Caruso's catalog on vinyl (and on
cd, now).
I recall in the just-pre-digital days when RCA re-released his entire
body of recordings on vinyl, having remixed and remastered the original
recordings by dubbing them to *very* high-speed tape, and then
physically editing the ticks and pops with a razor-blade and splicing
block. Amazing work.
