subject: Re: Cannot start .exe

From: "Gary Britt"

I know but the shell integration of IE can cause odd non-internet behavior
when the IE setup gets fouled up. I've fixed several problems over the
years that had to do with some window not looking right, opening right, do
something right by using internet explorer repair tool. In one case I had
to use a program called ieradicator to wipe out ie on the machine so a good
full reinstall of ie6 could happen. Fixed the problems. I wouldn't
necessarily rule out that some IE's shell integration could be partially or
totally to blame here.
