Hi,
if using WinXP SP2 there is no need for TCPFix. There is added possibilty
to "reset" TCP/IP through netsh.
Also, there are ported DIG nslookup aplications for WinXP so One could
check how its DNS request is floating.
Also, You could install NetMon and sniff out DNS shakes. Also, use
nslookup, then choose an option to select DNS server of Your wish and test
with that configuration. Be aware of Debug option (!!!) - helpful. Use
TCPFixs help to check all of the Reg entries.
