You know your kid better than anyone, but my first street vehicle to drive
is the car I still drive today (15 years later). I started in something I
liked, and my plans where and are, pride in ownership. Start me out in a
scrap heap, chances are I'll treat everything like a scrapheap afterward.
Just presenting an alternate point of view from someone who was fortuneate
enough to be able to drive the good car from the start. =)

opinion.
A beetle would be nice. =)

I take exception to that comment! I can tell you that as the motor oil in my
viens switched from single grade to multigrade, to synthetic =) that I've
always looked to keeping vehicles in good shape and KEEPING them.
