Heres a thought that struck me on the subject, you say (or whoever started
this thread) that the DOORPLATE says its a V.
What about the dashboard VIN? Does it breakdown to identify a IV or V model?
Doors can be changed, maybe a newer door got fitted to this car as the years
went by.
