Hey.. Myself and a few friends are considering a dive in an old mine
just outside of Joplin, MO, and wanted to ask a couple questions..
First of all, has anyone been there? If so, is it worth the time and
effort? Second.. This is going to entail extreme deep diving, to depths
of about 180 feet or so.. We have all had dives up to 120 feet, but not
past.. We plan on taking a mine diving course, and possibly a deep diving
course before going.. We would all be carrying doubles, and would each have
a set of doubles staged for us on the dive boat for our decompression
stops around 50, 30, and 10 feet.. Anyone have any suggestions or comments
about diving this deep, or of the mine itself? Thanks
