Ah, I see, well the rest of the story is that I was arrested for being
associated with Copwatch. Here's the police report:
"Complainant, being duly sworn, states that the above named person [me], at
Franklin County/Columbus, Ohio, on or about the 11th day of October, 1997,
did:
[this start's the written-in part] recklessly by an act which served no
lawful
and reasonable purpose to himself, to wit: did stand blocking the sidealk
after
being told by officers several times to move along, cause (inconvenience [the
proceeding word is then crossed out)/annoyance/alarm) to another, to wit: the
general public, by hindering or preventing the movement of persons upon the
sidewalk, side of N. High St. a public property to wit: 1560 N. High St. so
as
to interfere with the rights of others."
Now, as you can see, by the cops admission, I was arrested for standing on
the
sidewalk. However, as I've said, there is more the story: I was arrested for
my
political affiliation, and not for something as bogus as standing on the
sidewalk.
Incidentally, the case was dismissed.
