I've used Backup Exec in various flavors for several years and like it.
The interface was reasonably navigable, library support and media
management are excellent, and the server agents (including live backup
agents for Exchange and SQL Server) are very good. The products are
pricey, I think the base multiserver version costs between $500 and
$1000, and all agents (server, Exchange, SQL Server) are purchased as
extras. IIRC, in the latest iterations you need to buy a server agent
license for each machine you back up. Note that I don't have much
experience with other backup software, so don't really have anything to
compare.

Be warned (and afraid, very afraid), however, that Symantec just bought
Veritas. That is a revolting development for Backup Exec.
