Since giving up regular substitute teaching at the beginning part of this
school year, *I* haven't been sick as much myself, thank goodness!
That, and not having regular access to such maladies as headlice, pinworms,
and strep throat, would be a definite plus to homeschooling - but I wouldn't
homeschool just for those reasons. I had to giggle...in an Intro to Home
Schooling seminar that I took at the curriculum fair 6 weeks ago, the
presenter said that a lady had filled out "No more headlice!" as a reason for
homeschooling. I sure understood that. I would imagine that it wasn't the
lady's complete reasoning for homeschooling - but it probably was her way of
saying that her child's health was an important reason for homeschooling.
