Of course not, I'm not a cop. I was arrested for disorderly conduct for
asking
a cop for a quarter. The case went to trial, my friend who was arrested with
me
had to sign a waiver saying he wouldn't sue the police, and when my case went
to trial, they "lost the file" and then I got off for lack of evidence. Of
course, I still spent time in jail, lost wages, etc.
You are right about one thing, though, it probably wasn't because I was
asking
for a quarter. The cop who arrested me told me to my face that it was because
I
was active in Copwatch.
