If there is a way you can have him connect to the LAN and also be on the
"nasty" side of a firewall (not necessarily the main firewall to
the internet, but that wouldn't be a bad choice if need be), that helps a
lot.

In other words, treat his tablet as the infested machine it probably will
be. It is the enemy, don't treat it as a friend.
