White-spot?  Does it look furry sort of?  Sounds like a standard antibiotic 
treatment will fix it then.  Due to the differing types of fish, the old home 
remedy of 1 tablespoon non-iodized table salt per 2 gallons water would not 
be a smart idea.  They may not be very salt tolerant.
