If poverty causes crime then why wasn't crime rampant
during the great depression?  A lot more people were a
lot poorer then than they are now.

Have you read any history?  A lot of the Founding
Fathers fought long and hard to have slavery outlawed
in the Constitution.
Also most of the Founding Fathers died broke, not
swimming in money.

Have you ever live in a TRULY racist surrounding?  I
was born and raised in the South, I didn't even know
there was another word for a nigg** until I was well
into my school years, well there were the other non-PC
words.
By the time I reached high school I had several black
friends, some of them who were even nice enough to have
me over for a meal.  And no I never asked any of them
over to my house, see the paragraph above for why.
When I was in collage I was in one of the biggest
fights of my life because I stopped, not tried to but
stopped, a couple of a$$holes from beating the $hit out
of a black guy at a party.
Today if I ever caught one of my kids using any of
those words they'd get their butts warmed up and their
mouth's washed out with soap.
Until you have lived with racism you have no idea what
you are talking about.  One, two, five or even ten
police officers in a large PD who "tend to use a little
more force" with "people of color" is nothing when
compared to having an entire department supported by a
large segment of the community that thinks nothing
beating a black man, make that BOY, because he didn't
get out of the car fast enough after being stopped for
no reason.
