Tried that as well, when I moved the HD's to the secondary IDE controller,
I left the CDROM disconnected. It normally runs on the second controller
interface. The vendor has another of these MB on the shelf, as new still.
I'm picking it up tomorrow AM. I also bought a new 160gig WD 7200 with
8meg of cache for $79.00 on the way home, to replace this 80gig Seagate
Barracuda IV. The vendor just told me that those drives only had a 1yr
warranty on them from Seagate, and that they just upped it to 5 years, but
not retroactive to older drives. So, we'll see which it is tomorrow.

I've also made the boot floppies, and scarfed a floppy drive from an old
computer to do the boot from floppy, and try making a new MBR from the
recovery console. Frustrating, as it takes away from the regular work I've
got to do. .
