Looking over a bunch of my batch files here, I appear to have had code for
packing the message bases called from two different points (only one of
which actually does it currently). One of them was in binkley.bat, which
means that the board goes offline for a bit while this is happening. The
other is in a background process that's also involved with tossing, etc.
which leaves the possibility open for packing of message bases going on
while a bbs caller might hit them during this. Is that latter approach
likely to cause me a problem here? I can set things up either way, if I
have to...
